A few months ago I had the pleasure of meeting Mary Grace from WritefullyHis (http://www.writefullyhis.com/) at an all female Tory Burch Foundation event.  You can learn more about the Tory Burch Foundation here.

I was struck right away or should I say "write away" by how WrightfullyHis is impacting the world by providing writing supplies for children in need through sales of beautiful stationary! Think Toms for stationary. Genius right?! All in all everyone wins!

We knew we had to team up with Mary Grace and the WritefullyHis team for a give-a-way! What better time to pay of forward than in October! We decided to offer you some beautiful pink items to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

My mother is a 5 year Breast cancer survivor and I will be participating in the Avon Walk for Breast cancer at the end of October. This is my 5th year participating in the 39 mile, 2 days walk. 100% of the proceeds from this walk go to researching to find a cure.  You can learn more about the walk here. 

So it is very exciting for me to be able to offer you a give-a-way to not only support children in need but also raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer.

We catch up with some Charlotte-area small-business owners making news recently:

Carly Gardner, owner of Leap of Faith Clothing, heads to Washington, D.C., at the end of the month to participate in the Retail Advocates Summit, sponsored by the National Retail Federation.

At the summit, being held July 29-30 and involving more than 150 small-business owners, merchants can network and talk with lawmakers about industry priorities. Gardner is one of three North Carolina participants, and the only one from Charlotte, according to the retail federation.

In addition to Leap of Faith Clothing, a children’s line that features Cape T-Shirts, Gardner has two other lines. She says her women’s clothing line, Style Gather, is now part of a promotion involving the online shopping platform OpenSky and Sears. She also has a “functional fashion” line called Jleer Brand.

Style Gather Announces a partnership with the OpenSky.com and Sears.

[Charlotte, NC] – Style Gather is excited to announce a partnership with the OpenSky and Sears.  The Style Gather line of fashion women’s apparel will be featured in a new campaign launched in 2014. OpenSky has partnered with Sears to launch a national program: OpenSky Fresh Finds, only at Sears. 

Every week, OpenSky will be creating a curated assortment of products from OpenSky merchant brands. The assortment will be merchandised to the Sears audience via national email campaigns, on the homepage of Sears.com, and ultimately in-store at Sears in OpenSky Fresh finds displays. 

The collection Style Gather is participating in will launch on June 23^{rd, 2014} for the Happy Birthday America campaign. It will be featured for one week (and it may be extended for additional promotion).

This program is part of a strategy to help the OpenSky brands grow their exposure and sales on and beyond the OpenSky platform. Style Gather is honored to be part of the first Fresh Finds promotion.
